With eight top international awards from 4 major international organizations have been honored the hotels of Metaxa Hospitality Group for one more year, despite the special difficulties and unprecedented situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Specifically, Creta Maris Beach Resort and Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa, were awarded in 6 categories of awards through a public vote organized in the context of the 27th annual “World Travel Awards 2020” and the “World Spa Awards 2020”. It is noted that these awards are considered as the ultimate trademark in the field of excellence worldwide.
In particular, the 5*, All Inclusive, Creta Maris Beach Resort in Hersonissos of Heraklion was honored with the awards “Greece’s Leading All-Inclusive Resort” and “Greece’s Leading Beach Resort”.
Respectively, the 5*, Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa in Santorini, stood out for the third consecutive year, winning the awards “Greece’s Leading island villas” & “Europe’s Leading Boutique Resort”. In addition, it managed to stand out as the best Boutique Resort in the world by winning the “World’s Leading Boutique Resort 2020” award.
In addition, Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa was awarded for the fourth consecutive year at the “World Spa Awards 2020” in the category “Greece’s Best Resort Spa”.
Also, Creta Maris Beach Resort was certified for the fourth consecutive time, with the Gold distinction of “Travelife”. The “Travelife” certification program supports, certifies and rewards hotel units that design and implement a comprehensive sustainability program, follow environmentally friendly practices and support society.
At the same time, it emerged as one of the “greenest” hotels, as it received the award “TUI Umwelt Champion 2020” which evaluates the environmental performance of the hotel.
In addition, Creta Maris Beach Resort recently received two certifications as it has been distinguished for the seventh consecutive year with the “We do local” certification, while the restaurant of “Pithos” received “BIO Kouzina GOLD” certification.
