Athens International Airport invites passengers and visitors to travel to … “China in 60 minutes!”, with yet another cultural experience that will “bring to life” the DNA of places and cultures at the airport, through the Cultural DestiNAtions programme.
The programme will be held on Friday 24 May, 12:00 – 13:00. The venue is open to the public on the Departures Level – Entrance 3.
A giant LED WALL will impress with Video Art displaying the characteristic “koi fish”. Animators in Chinese attire will be inviting the public to enjoy a dance ballet and martial arts show, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, and Chinese delicacies, while watching travel bloggers’ photos taken during their trips to China. Visitors will be able to take photos at the Photo booth, explore China through VR, see their names written by a Chinese calligrapher, and answer a short Quiz with unique questions!
The Cultural DestiNAtions programme, a cultural project of the Athens International Airport in collaboration with the Social Cooperative Enterprise PHELLOE, will continue in 2024, with experiences from unique countries around the world, in an open dialogue with the customs and characteristics of each culture, with plenty of music, culinary delights and many surprises!
