Passenger traffic in May 2024 at HELLENIC AVIATION SERVICE PROVIDER -managed airports increased by 14%. In more detail, passenger traffic at the 24 CAA airports increased by 14% according to the provisional statistics for May 2024.
In particular, the total number of passengers in transit (international and domestic passenger arrivals and departures) reached 1,217,929 in May this year, compared to 1,068,460 passengers in May 2023.
Passenger traffic and aircraft movements for all the country’s airports – Statistics for the first five months of 2024. +13% increase in passenger traffic and +8.2% in aircraft movements.
Passenger traffic in the first five months of the year increased by 13% compared to last year for all airports in the country that operate commercial flights (39 airports: 24 CAA, 14 FRAPORT GREECE, AIA).Specifically, the total number of passengers in the period January – May 2024 reached 20,419,817, compared to 18,064,868 passengers in the corresponding period January – May 2023.
Regarding the number of aircraft movements (arrivals and departures of domestic and international aircraft) in the first five months of 2024 for all 39 airports of the country, whose air traffic control is exercised by the CAA, there was an increase of +8.2% compared to the corresponding period of January – May 2023. In particular, 166,796 flights took place in the first five months of 2024, compared to 154,218 flights in the first five months of 2023.
