The 27th Annual Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum concluded with a grand ceremony in New York, where the official dinner and Awards Ceremony highlighted Greece as a “success story” on the international economic stage, and the “2025 Hellenic Capital Link Leadership Award” was presented to Mr. Achilleas Konstantarakopoulos, Chairman of the Board of TEMES S.A.
The event took place on Monday, December 8 in New York and brought together high-ranking government officials, international investors, and representatives of large business groups, confirming the Forum’s role as a leading dialogue platform for the Greek economy.
Award to Achilleas Konstantakopoulos
Mr. Konstantarakopoulos was awarded the annual “Hellenic Leadership Award” for his outstanding contribution to the Greek economy and the attraction of international investments. During the ceremony, he emphasized that Greece is now one of the top tourist destinations worldwide, and he referred to the strategic importance of projects such as Costa Navarino and new developments in Attica, stressing that responsible development that serves local communities and the quality of the destination remains the constant pillar of their investment initiatives. The honoree was introduced by Mr. Dean Dakolias, Co-Chairman and Managing Partner of Fortress Investment Group.
The Forum as an international investment institution
According to Capital Link, the Forum was held in collaboration with the New York Stock Exchange and the Athens Exchange Group and was under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in New York.
Five Greek ministers (Infrastructure, Development, Labor, Tourism, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs), the Vice President of the Government, and top executives of international organizations and financial giants participated.
The conference included 27 sessions, 107 speakers, 23 sponsored companies, and participation from top funds such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, CVC, Paulson & Co., UBS, Insight Partners, Fortress, Aurora, among others.
Greece presented itself as fully open to new investments, with growth rates exceeding the EU average for the sixth consecutive year and a mature framework for significant cross-border agreements.
As part of the Forum, the New York Stock Exchange hosted the “Greek American Issuer Day” for the 21st year. During the ceremony, Greek and Greek-American business interests rang the Closing Bell, in a symbolic recognition of the strong bilateral business ties.
