Lufthansa announces that it will include a direct Thessaloniki – Frankfurt connection with two flights per week on its winter flight schedule 2018.
The new route will start on October 28th and flights will operate every Friday and Sunday. On Friday, the flight will depart from Thessaloniki at 11:30 and on Sunday at 15:25. Accordingly, the Frankfurt-Thessaloniki flight will take place on Friday at 07:10 and on Sunday at 11.05. Tickets are already available for reservation either through partner travel agencies or via Lufthansa’s website lufthansa.com. Tickets price starts as low as 99 € (round trip, Economy Light Fare with one carry-on luggage).
After the inclusion of the new route in the winter program, travelers from Northern Greece will gain through the Lufthansa hub in Frankfurt, quick and easy access to the global network of the top German carrier.
The route will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft, the duration of the flight will be around 2 ½ hours and the distance covered is 1,542 km (833 nautical miles).

Additional Lufthansa Group carriers, Austrian Airlines and Eurowings will also continue operating flights from Thessaloniki to destinations in Germany and Austria in the upcoming winter schedule as well.
It is worth noting that this summer, Lufthansa Group airlines- SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings and Brussels Airlines offer 52 flights per week from Thessaloniki, connecting the city with Zurich, Geneva, Vienna, Graz, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart and Brussels.
In winter 2018, in addition to Thessaloniki, Lufthansa will connect for the first time Trieste with Frankfurt and announced that 6 more new tourist destinations will be served by direct connections from Frankfurt and Munich.
