An extensive tribute to 13 islands of the Cyclades hosts the most popular magazine in France for luxury tourism “Désirs de Voyages” in the July-August issue, released a few days ago.

The publication is the result of the collaboration between the Greek National Tourism Organization and the magazine, within the framework of the advertising program of our country in the French market implemented by the French National Tourism Organization.

Greece is the main theme of the issue, with the cover hosting a characteristic Cycladic landscape.

The 10-page publication “Wonderful tour of the Greek islands” urges readers to “discover the magical archipelago of the Cyclades, where they can travel to the islands in pairs”. Specifically, it refers to the “elegant Sifnos and the “secret” Serifos, the “natural treasures of Tinos and Syros”, the “necessary” stops in Milos, Kimolos and Folegandros, the “authentic Paros and Antiparos”, the “secrets of Naxos and Donoussa” and the “natural paradises of Amorgos and Koufonisia”.

The bimonthly “Désirs de Voyages” is published both in print and online and is addressed to an audience with superior social status and high purchasing power, which every year travels 3 or 4 times to medium or long distance destinations, looking for new, authentic travel experiences based on luxury and wellness.

The tribute to the Greek islands is accompanied by an augmented reality QR code, with readers being redirected to the EOT website, while the issue is advertised with reference to Greece on national radio stations.

At the same time, from 10 to 14 June, the editor of the same magazine, Alexandra Chassin, visited the region of Chania, as part of a press trip organized by the French National Tourism Organization in collaboration with the Region of Crete.

The aim of the trip was to gather the necessary material for writing an article about Chania as a top of mind luxury holiday destination, focusing on cultural heritage, contemporary art, wellness, gastronomy, wine tasting and shopping, with Ms. Chassin stating that she is impressed by the unique travel experience, the unparalleled beauty of natural landscapes, the Cretan tasting and the unique blend of history and modern culture that the area has.

The relevant article will appear in the next issue of “Désirs de Voyages” (September-October).
