Greek hotels and islands have achieved significant distinctions at European and global level, at the World’s Best Awards 2024, the prestigious travel magazine Travel+Leisure.
In particular, four Greek hotels are among the top hotels in Europe and one of them is ranked at the global level, as revealed in the awards, which are presented every year based on the ratings of the readers of the American magazine.
Specifically, Kalesma Mykonos Hotel was ranked fourth in the ranking of the best hotels in Europe this year, with a score of 98.47, and 45th in the global ranking of the top hotels.
Along with Kalesma Mykonos, the four Greek hotels in the ranking of the best hotels in Europe are completed by Andronis Boutique Hotel, in Santorini, which with a score of 97.07 was ranked ninth, Santa Marina, a Luxury Collection Resort, in Mykonos, which with a score of 96.47 was ranked 14th and Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino, in Pylos, in 15th place with a score of 96.40.
Meanwhile, our country had a dynamic presence in the awards for the Best Islands in the World of the prestigious American magazine, for yet another year, with four Greek islands making the list.
The Greek quartet is recommended by popular islands of our country, which every year attract thousands of tourists for their summer holidays, two of which are Cycladic.
In particular, high up in the category are Milos, which scored 93.08 points and came in fourth place, as well as Crete, which scored 92.38 points and came in sixth place. Corfu and the Ionian Islands follow a little further down, in 20th place, with a score of 89.42 and Paros in 24th place, with a score of 88.97.
The top three places include two destinations that need no special recommendations: The Maldives (No. 1) and Bali (No. 3). But sneaking in at No. 2 is the Vietnamese island of Phú Quốc, located on the country’s western coast.
