Marriott International announced its collaboration with Vassilakis S.A. to bring the JW Marriott brand to Greece for the first time. The JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa, expected to open in 2025 in Marathi, Chania, will span 100 acres and will be a haven for travelers seeking a luxurious getaway, combined with exceptional service and holistic wellness experiences.
SWOT Hospitality, a leading luxury hotel management company in Greece, will collaborate with Vassilakis S.A. and Marriott International as the hotel’s management company.
“Greece remains one of the most attractive destinations for today’s global traveller and the signing of JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa reflects the continued demand we are seeing for luxury accommodation across the country,” said Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International.
The hotel will consist of 160 luxurious rooms, with all suites and villas having a private swimming pool or Jacuzzi.
