TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, the leading Group of holistic services of Certification, Training, Audits, Regulatory Compliance of Organizations, Laboratory Analyses and Technological Solutions, celebrates a double victory, winning two distinctions at the “Green Brand Awards 2024”, in the categories Green Certification and Green & Circular Economy, for the OK RECYCLED SCHEME service. This double award is an important recognition of TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas’ dedication to the principles of sustainable development through its services.
The award ceremony of the “Green Brand Awards”, the annual event that highlights and rewards innovation in products, services and development processes that promote the green economy and sustainable lifestyle, took place on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel.
The OK Recycled Certification Scheme of TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS is an important tool for the promotion of the circular economy. It is based on two basic principles, mass balance control, which ensures the amount of recycled material used, and reliability, offering transparency to companies’ environmental claims. The aim of the Scheme is to comply with EU Directive 2019/904 on recycled plastic, setting limits for the content of recycled material in plastic products. At the same time, it contributes to the fight against greenwashing by ensuring that companies’ statements regarding their environmental sensitivity are true and accurate.
Through 30 years of experience and international know-how, TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas has methodically developed its size with targeted acquisitions, enriching its portfolio of services and expanding its presence in the Greek market.
