With a dynamic delegation of travel agencies, the Federation of Greek Associations of Travel & Tourism Agencies, FedHATTA, and the Association of Greek Travel & Tourism Agencies, HATTA, will participate in the international tourism exhibition ITB China, which will be held on 27-29 May in Shanghai, giving “presence” in a key market for Greek tourism.
ITB China is the leading exhibition exclusively for B2B contacts focusing on the Chinese travel market and brings together leading and selected buyers from China with tourism professionals from around the world. China’s market, which was the largest outbound tourism market in the world in the past, is in full recovery, and an important factor in attracting more Chinese travellers to our country is the direct connection of Juneyao Air, Shanghai – Athens.
FedHATTA President, Mr. Lysander Tsilides, said: “The current juncture is ideal for Greek travel agencies already active in the Chinese and Southeast Asian markets to come into contact with their counterparts in this market which is returning to pre-pandemic rhythms and has a long-standing love for Greece as a tourist destination with an emphasis on cultural experiences.
FedHATTA and HATTA maintain open channels of communication throughout the year with tourism delegations from China’s regions, and our participation in the exhibition will further contribute to strengthening our professional ties with our counterparts in China’s organised tourism market, enhancing tourism flows to and from Greece.”
