Vienna hosted a series of constructive meetings as part of the Municipality of Paros’ participation in FERRIEN MESSE exhibition, which took place on January, 10-13.
In the exhibition
The Hotels Association participated in the exhibition and Mr. George Bafitis (President of the Hotels Association) represented the Municipality and discussed about the austrian travel market interest for the greek island.
Journalists from reputable media, included the publishing group AXEL SPRINGER, travel bloggers and representatives of major tourism organisations expressed the desire to promote the destination and to cooperate with professionals.
More specifically, there was interest about sending to the island an austrian team that will prepare a video promoting Paros and hotels. The created material can be published in their website and be broadcasted by Channel 3 of the Austrian TV.
In cooperation with the National Tourism Organisation Office in Austria, it was decided the visit of Austrian journalists in Paros during the Pentecost. Other journalists also expressed their interest regarding the island’s promotion.
Mr. Markos Kovaios, the Mayor, welcomed the cooperation of the Municipality with the professionals and his consultancy company and said that “through a well-prepared exhibition participation, we ensured great benefits coming from a market that features the quality elements we are targeting”.
