HOTELS

After a year of successful presence in the Greek hotel industry and the operation of the first five-star Amyth in Agios Stefanos, Mykonos, Cyprus’ leading luxury hospitality group Thanos Hotels and Resorts is expanding its footprint in Greece with a second “Amyth” in Mykonos, in the popular location of Super Paradise.

The group announced a few days ago an investment plan with a 3-year horizon to open 10 new Amyth hotels in Greece. The first hotel will open from April 2023 in Agios Stefanos, while from May 1, Amyth at Super Paradise will welcome its first guests in a fully renovated complex.

The philosophy

The philosophy behind the Thanos Hotels & Resorts group is to enrich the lives of its guests with authentic Mediterranean moments and to highlight the value of meaningful human connection. As a family-run business, the group has embraced the culture of “family” at all levels, making guests feel like they are staying in a comfortable, luxurious and welcoming home.

Drawing inspiration from the atmospheric charm of the Mediterranean, the hotels are the gateway to a world of authentic experiences where guests can enjoy local culture, gastronomy and traditions. The Amyth brand is an extension of this philosophy in that it invites guests to a “sanctuary” where soul and spirit are rejuvenated. Combining authenticity with lifestyle, Amyth hotels exude the aura of the natural environment and are much more than just accommodation. It is an invitation to the guest to truly ‘experience’ the destination.

The second Amyth Hotel in Super Paradise

Amyth Super Paradise is a fully renovated complex comprising 50 rooms, suites and villas and on May 1 will welcome its first guests for this tourist season.

The accommodation options range from rooms of 25 m² to suites of up to 110 m², many of which have private pools and outdoor Jacuzzis. It also features two restaurants, pampering and relaxation facilities, a boutique and a fitness centre.

A blend of the new and the timeless, Amyth Super Paradise offers the ideal accommodation for travellers seeking both the tranquillity of a secluded ‘haven’ and the pulse of the vibrant life of the cosmopolitan island. Within the complex, a Cycladic chapel, which is still preserved to this day, offers a sense of contact with the local culture and blends harmoniously with its welcoming spaces.

The Cycladic architecture of the complex is dominated by simple lines combined with natural materials and earthy tones in the interiors and combined with the blue of the sea ensure a refreshing experience.

Second year of operation for Amyth of Mykonos | Agios Stefanos

The first Amyth of Mykonos has been operating in Agios Stefanos since 2023 and welcomes its guests for the second tourist season. An unpretentious combination of rustic simplicity and contemporary aesthetics, Amyth of Mykonos | Agios Stefanos is a haven for travellers.

Set on a hill on the edge of the village, the hotel overlooks the central bay of Mykonos with its characteristic turquoise waters and impressive private yachts. It is a 10-minute drive from the famous local beach clubs, iconic nightlife and restaurants of Mykonos and also just a 10-minute walk from Agios Stefanos beach.

The Cycladic aesthetic dominates the interiors, with stone walls, calm colour tones, handmade wooden furniture and natural decorative materials. The rooms are characterised by the typical simple charm, and all of them have either a pool with sea views or a hot tub. The hotel also has its own restaurant, wellness room, outdoor gym and swimming pool.
