The acquisition of two five-star boutique resort hotels, Ydor Hotel & Spa and Porto Kea Suites Hotel & Spa, on the magnificent island of Kea, was announced by international hotel and real estate company Everty.

“Through this strategic move, Everty is expanding its portfolio and cementing its commitment to deliver premium hospitality experiences in prime locations,” the company said in its announcement of the acquisition of the two hotels.

Ydor Hotel & Spa and Porto Kea Suites Hotel & Spa, now owned by Everty and managed by Sandglass Hotels & Villas (the hotel arm of Everty), are currently the only five-star hotels in operation on the ever-growing island of Kea.

The brand new Ydor Hotel & Spa, designed for adults and couples, blends contemporary style with traditional island architecture. It offers 24 rooms and suites with stunning views of the Aegean Sea and is located at the beginning of the village of Vourkari, next to the picturesque Yaliskari beach. Facilities include private swimming pools, spa with heated indoor pool, sauna, hammam with treatment room, bar, restaurant, meeting room and parking facilities.

As for Porto Kea Hotel Suites & Spa, it is a beachfront resort for families on the eastern side of the sandy beach of Korissia, and has 38 spacious suites and rooms, set in lush gardens. It offers a variety of amenities, including an outdoor pool, children’s pool, beach bar, restaurant, full-service spa, meeting room, and parking facilities.

According to the company, tourism in Greece is the country’s most powerful pillar of economic growth, and Everty’s two acquisitions are in line with its upward trend.

“This new milestone reflects our consistent strategy in Greece. In the first four years of the company, we reached EUR 100 million in investments. We continue to look at new opportunities, including development projects that will create value and strengthen local economies. With these new investments, we are validating our commitment to support the Greek economy,” says Nikolaos Roupakas, Everty’s Country Manager for Greece.
