Goldair Handling’s strategic goal is to reduce the negative environmental impact of its operations. To this end, our company has set a plan to reduce its environmental footprint, which includes the replacement of tractors with conventional engines, in electric ones as well as the gradual replacement of our vehicles with electric green ones.
Regarding vehicles, the percentage of electric cars is already 25% at Athens station, while the goal is to replace all our vehicles in electric ones by 2026. Additionally, the replacement of tractors and forklifts with conventional engines in electric vehicles has been implemented at a rate of 30% of the company’s total network in Greece. The company has already started using Hybrid ground power units for business jets and helicopters.
Lastly, Goldair Handling has already 2 electric passenger transport PRM (Passengers with Reduced Mobility) vehicles at Athens station for serving passengers with reduced mobility, while our company’s plan includes the gradual replacement of our passenger stairs with solar powered ones that are run on sustainable electricity.
