Hilton Hotels & Resorts: “Arrival” in five new markets in 2024 | One in five hotel rooms under construction in the company’s portfolio

After a strong 2023, where Hilton Hotels & Resorts achieved the largest growth programme in its history, opening a record 24,000 rooms in 132 hotels in the last quarter of the year, the leading hotel group is planning its next steps for 2024, which include new hotel arrivals.

Hilton now has more new rooms under construction than any other hotel chain, with approximately one in five hotel rooms under construction worldwide set to join the company’s portfolio.

After entering new markets such as Monaco, Tunisia and the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2023, this year Hilton is expected to open its first hotels in Bermuda, Paraguay, Nepal, Laos and Timor-Leste.

Hilton will also continue to expand its award-winning brands into new destinations this year. Guest-favorite brands such as Hampton by Hilton – celebrating its 40th anniversary this year – will enter Africa, and Hilton’s newest brands, such as LivSmart Studios by Hilton, Tempo by Hilton and Spark by Hilton, will accelerate their growth in the U.S.

New “premieres”

The following hotels belong to the hotel giant’s programming:

– The first Hilton hotel opens in Paraguay with the Hilton Garden Inn Asunción Aviadores del Chaco. Expected opening: The third quarter of 2024.

– Hilton makes its “debut” in Kathmandu with the Hilton Kathmandu.
Expected opening: May 2024.

– Bermudiana Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton will be the first Hilton hotel in Bermuda.
Expected opening: The fourth quarter of 2024.

– Hilton “premieres” in Laos with the DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane.
Expected opening: The third quarter of 2024.

– The first international hotel will open in Timor-Leste with the Hilton Dili Palm Springs.
Expected opening: Third quarter of 2024.

– Hilton makes its “debut” in the Azores with the DoubleTree by Hilton Lagoa Azores.
Expected opening: Second quarter of 2024.

– The first Curio Collection by Hilton in Croatia will open with the Keight Hotel Opatija.

– Embassy Suites by Hilton enters the UAE with the opening of Embassy Suites by Hilton Dubai Business Bay.
Expected opening: The second quarter of 2024

– Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho, the first brand of its kind in Asia, will open in 2024.
Expected opening: The third quarter of 2024.

– Canopy by Hilton makes its entry into Japan with the Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda.
Expected opening: Third quarter 2024.

– Tru by Hilton will make its “debut” in Chile with Tru by Hilton Chillan Ferrat.
Expected opening: Third quarter of 2024.

– Tru by Hilton will debut in Colombia with Tru by Hilton Cali Sur.
Expected opening: The fourth quarter of 2024.

– The first all-inclusive Curio Collection by Hilton in the Dominican Republic opens with Zemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton.
Expected opening: Fourth quarter of 2024.

– Hampton by Hilton enters Africa with the opening of Hampton by Hilton Grayston Sandton.
Expected opening: Q4 2024.

– Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts enters Costa Rica with Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique
Expected opening: The fourth quarter of 2024.

– LivSmart Studios by Hilton will open its first hotel in Kokomo, Indiana.
Expected opening: The third quarter of 2024.

Expansion continues for Tempo by Hilton and Spark by Hilton

Following the “debut” of Tempo by Hilton in Times Square last August, the brand opened its second hotel, the 306-room Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown, in February. The brand’s next openings include Tempo by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu (second quarter) and Tempo by Hilton Raleigh Downtown (third quarter).

Meanwhile, Spark by Hilton is accelerating its expansion in the US and entering Canada.

Notably, Hilton opened its first Spark by Hilton in Mystic, Connecticut, in October 2023, just eight months after announcing the new premium economy brand, which is only for hotel conversions.

With 2024 underway, the pet-friendly brand is looking forward to opening new hotels in the second quarter in Nashville, Atlanta and San Antonio, and is expected to enter Canada this year with hotels in Toronto/Markham and Oshawa.
