Jet2.com and Jet2holidays announce 12th base at Bournemouth Airport! | Which Greek destinations are included

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced that they are further expanding their footprint in the UK – launching award-winning flights and holidays from Bournemouth Airport – which will become their 12th UK base.

The UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline have today put 16 sunny destinations across Europe, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean on sale from Bournemouth Airport for Summer 25.

In addition to the long-standing demand for award-winning flights and holidays from customers and independent travel agents across the region, today’s announcement significantly expands the footprint of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. It means holidaymakers and independent travel agents in even more of the South of England, including Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth and the wider region, can benefit from the airlines’ leisure flights and ATOL protected holiday packages. In addition, they will have the opportunity to experience industry-leading customer service, which has earned the airlines the prestigious Who? Travel Brand of the Year for the past two years.

In their first summer of operations from Bournemouth Airport , Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate up to 27 weekly flights, including multiple weekly flights to popular destinations in the Canary Islands , Balearic Islands , Turkey and Greece , as well as services to hotspots such as mainland Spain , Portugal and Madeira . Two destinations (Fuerteventura and Madeira) are exclusive to Jet2 from Bournemouth Airport.

The inaugural flight from the airport will depart for Tenerife on 1 April 2025 and in summer 25, two aircraft will take holidaymakers from Bournemouth Airport for their holiday packages with Jet2holidays and leisure flights with Jet2.com.

This latest expansion comes just days before Jet2.com and Jet2holidays launch their operations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, a move that has led to extremely positive results and is expected to be repeated at Bournemouth Airport , based on demand for Jet2 to launch operations there.

Customers travelling from Bournemouth Airport can book Jet2holidays directly through the website or by calling the customer-friendly Contact Centre or alternatively through an independent travel agent. The tour operator’s award-winning commercial team will work with independent tour operators across the region to ensure they have all the knowledge they need to sell Jet2holidays holiday packages and grow their businesses. The first 1,000 bookings will receive a free fast-track service through airport security when travelling from Bournemouth Airport .

The arrival of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays at Bournemouth Airport represents a significant investment for the region. More than 100 new jobs will be created initially, with positions available across flight deck, cabin crew, engineering and ground operations.   • Lanzarote – up to two weekly services (Monday, Friday)
  • Alicante – up to two weekly services (Tuesdays, Saturdays)
  • Palma (Mallorca) – up to four weekly services (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday)
  • Ibiza – up to two weekly services (Thursdays, Sundays)
  • Menorca – weekly services (Sundays)
  • Antalya – up to two weekly services (Wednesday, Saturday)
  • Dalaman – up to two weekly services (Thursdays, Sundays)
  • Faro (Algarve) – up to two weekly services (Monday, Friday)
  • Madeira – weekly service (Thursdays) – exclusively from Bournemouth Airport.
  • Crete (Heraklion) – weekly services (Tuesdays)
  • Corfu – weekly services (Wednesday)
  • Rhodes – weekly services (Tuesdays)
  • Zakynthos – weekly services (Thursdays)
