Mitsis Group proudly introduces Mitsis N’U Piraeus Port, its first urban hotel at the hub of Piraeus Port, the largest passenger port in Europe and one of the largest worldwide. The hotel offers a home for the world’s travellers, lifestyle and gastronomy enthusiasts to come together.

The opening day ceremony on April 6 was done by the Metropolitan of Piraeus, Seraphim, while the inauguration was carried out by the Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni. The event was attended by the Minister of the Interior Niki Kerameus, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Haris Theocharis, the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Yiannis Pappas, the Mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis, Member of Parliament Dimitris Avramopoulos, former Minister George Alogoskoufis, the General Secretary of Citizenship at the Ministry of the Interior, Angelos Dimosthenous, the General Secretary of Decentralized Administration of Attica, Grigoris Zafeiropoulos. From the business world, Ms Korina Metaxa, the couple Andreas Metaxas and Mrs Ziki Metaxa, Ms Anna Angelikousi, Mr Pavlos Kanellopoulos, the couple Makis Matsas and Mr. Minos Matsas, the couple Georgios Mela, the couple Mougi, the Velentza family, Mrs Fanny Karavassili Sarantopoulou, Mrs. Faye Leoussi, the artists Kostas Varotsos, Konstantinos Kakanias, Jason Megoulas, and the director of the newspaper Vradini, Iordanis Hasapopoulos.

An architectural and artistic masterpiece

Nestled in a heritage building once home to METAXA Spirits’ distillery from 1888 to 1968, the hotel embodies the architectural vision of Dimitris Travasaros and the award-winning Divercity Architects under the supervision of the architect Spyros Naoumidis, showcasing its historical personality in a contemporary manner. Art plays a central role in the guest experience, featuring art pieces by leading Greek artists Kostas Varotsos, Konstantin Kakanias and Cacao Rocks, providing an unexpected encounter with Greek modern art in every corner of the hotel.
