Russian tour operators interested in Cyprus hotels

Russian tour operators seem to be highly interested in collaborating with Cyprus hotels, which are now available, following Thomas Cook bankruptcy.

According to Russian Express, as ATORUS, the Association of Russian tour operators claims, no crisis followed the Thomas Cook bankruptcy and the island survived the turbulence. Also, more hotels in the area were made available to Russian tour operators, such as Louis and Tsokos Hotels.

Early booking in Cyprus is until May. This popular island is a family destination for Russian visitors, located at a close distance, convenient for the issuance of VISAs, with good weather conditions and safe. Discounts in Cyprus hotels will reach up to 30% of the original price for early bookings until March. Compared to 2019, in 2020 demand has increased by 20% to 25%, while prices remain the same as in 2019, according to Anna Filatovskaya, Marketing Manager of Russian Express.

Flights to Cyprus will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays with S7 airlines and Russian Express has booked flights from May 20 to October 24.

Hotel preferences

Russian Express analysts point out that there is increase in demand for rooms with a kitchen, such as 3-star and 4-star Alva Hotel Apartments (Protaras), Captain Pier (Protaras), Corralia Beach Hotel Apartments, Evabelle Napa Apartments (Agia Napa), Melpo Antia Suites Apartments (Agia Napa), Makronisos Village (Agia Napa), Constantiana Beach Hotel Apartments Aprathotel (Larnaca) Top quality 4-star and 5-star hotels on steady demand include Mediterranean Beach Hotel (Limassol), St. Raphael Resort (Limassol), Vassos Nissi Plage Hotel.
