The GB Roof Garden and Tudor Hall Restaurant have been awarded for the fifth consecutive year from the ‘Wine Spectator’, which placed them amongst an exclusive list of restaurants in over 75 countries for their outstanding wine lists.
Once more this year, both restaurants received the ‘Best of Award of Excellence’, granted to 1215 restaurants in 2018, which recognizes restaurants that excel for the regional range and quality of wines, along with superior presentation. The two restaurants are the only ones in Athens included in the Wine Spectator’s list for having one of the most exceptional restaurant wine lists in the world.
The Sommelier of the restaurants, Evangelos Psofidis, with a significant knowledge, distinctions and passion for wines and spirits, aims to display the largest wine-producing regions of the world through the restaurants’ wine lists. Thus, he chooses to incorporate into the awarded lists, wines that accurately represent the characteristics of these areas. Both restaurants follow the philosophy of ‘food pairing wine’ and believe that the ultimate culinary experience can be achieved when fine dishes are perfectly matched with high quality wines.
